Infinix GT 50 Pro launch brings a new gaming-focused smartphone to the Indian market priced at Rs 69,999 for the base 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant.
The phone lands with a MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate chipset under the hood. This processor is built on a 3nm process and designed specifically for gaming workloads. The GT 50 Pro pairs it with a 144Hz AMOLED display that refreshes at high speed for smoother gameplay and scrolling.
Battery life gets a 6,500mAh cell. It supports 45W wired fast charging. According to Zee Business, the phone also includes gaming accessories bundled with the launch offer.
Launch Offers and Pricing
Here’s where Infinix is pushing the value angle. The launch deal includes free gaming accessories worth Rs 24,999. That’s a significant bundle on top of the phone itself. Additionally, there’s a Rs 5,000 instant bank discount available to early buyers.
This means the effective launch price could drop to Rs 64,999 for those who grab the bank discount. Over the first few weeks, that’s a meaningful saving on a gaming phone in this segment.
The 12GB RAM and 256GB storage sits in the upper mid-range price bracket in India right now. Competitors like the OnePlus 12 and iQOO Z9 Pro operate in overlapping territory. The bundled accessories angle is unusual—most phones in this price band don’t throw in gaming peripherals.
Infinix GT 50 Pro launch Specs at a Glance
Display: The 144Hz AMOLED screen is the headline spec here. AMOLED panels deliver better blacks and faster response times than LCD. The 144Hz refresh rate is overkill for everyday use but matters for gaming and competitive apps.
Processor: The Dimensity 8400 Ultimate is MediaTek’s premium gaming silicon. It competes with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 3. Real-world performance should handle everything from BGMI and Call of Duty Mobile to heavy apps without throttling.
Battery and Charging: A 6,500mAh battery is substantial. Paired with the 45W charging, a full recharge takes under an hour. The capacity should comfortably last a full day of mixed use or gaming.
RAM and Storage: The 12GB RAM variant comes with 256GB storage. This is sufficient for most users. Infinix typically offers these specs without microSD expansion, so storage is fixed.
Why This Matters for Indian Gamers
Gaming phones have gained traction in India over the past two years. BGMI dominance has pushed demand for high-refresh displays and sustained performance. The Rs 70K segment has become crowded with options.
The Infinix GT 50 Pro’s angle is the bundled gaming accessories. Free gaming triggers, cooling fans, or protective cases add real value without the gimmick. For students and casual competitive gamers, this bundle sweetens the deal.
The 144Hz display specifically targets the gaming crowd. Most mainstream phones still cap out at 120Hz. The 28 extra refreshes per second sounds marginal on paper but translate to noticeably smoother scrolling and faster frame response in games.
Dimensity 8400 Ultimate: Gaming Credentials
The MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate is built for sustained gaming performance. It doesn’t throttle as quickly as mid-range chips under prolonged load. Thermal management is critical here, and the GT 50 Pro will need to handle heat dissipation properly during long gaming sessions.
Compared to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, benchmarks show comparable single-core performance. Multi-core tasks and GPU-heavy gaming slightly favor the Dimensity in some tests. Real-world differences are negligible for most users.
The chip also supports Wi-Fi 6E and 5G connectivity, ensuring future-proof connectivity on Indian telecom networks.
The Accessories Angle
The Rs 24,999 free accessory bundle is genuinely unusual. Infinix has bundled what it calls “gaming accessories”—likely triggers, a phone cooler, a protective case, and possibly a phone stand. These bundled items typically retail for Rs 3,000 to Rs 8,000 separately.
For a Rs 70K phone, throwing in Rs 25K worth of peripherals is a bold strategy. It signals confidence in the product but also acknowledges the competitive pressure in this segment.
Availability and Competition
The phone is now available in India through online channels. Flipkart and Amazon typically get exclusivity windows for Infinix launches. Offline retail presence remains limited compared to Samsung or OnePlus.
In the Rs 70K gaming phone space, the Infinix GT 50 Pro competes against the OnePlus 12 (older generation at discounted prices), iQOO Z9 Pro, and Realme GT 6. Each has its own strength. OnePlus delivers software polish. iQOO leans on camera versatility. Realme offers brand value.
Infinix’s play is value and gaming focus. The bundled accessories underline this positioning.
